so is that Scott Stapp on the vox? lol, no seriously though, unique stuff. It's a real good mix of djent/prog kind of stuff with an alternative/radio-friendly feel. Material like this is what we need to bring djent, as well as just metal in general, more into the mainstream (I do apologize in advance if I offended any hipsters). only thing that I would change is the piano intro; the notes should ring out more. The quick choppiness makes it too apparent that its not a real piano.

rough recording quality, but it seems to be working to your advantage!
riffage is gettting me pumped, and sick as fuck vocals. this track reminds me of an extremely underrated old school tech death band called Timeghoul, check them out if you haven't \m/

Good idea, but poor execution.
the guitar tone, mixing of the drums and bass guitar (drums are too quiet, bass guitar is too loud), and staying in key (several parts the guitar either hits a wrong note or goes out of tune, 0:21 to make an example). those are a few areas that I mainly noticed in which you could use some improvement.

but like I said, good idea for a song. keep at it and this'll sound like a metallica or megadeth song in no time.

WIN!!
Groovy, ambient, and just generally badass to say the least.

due to personal bias and being a guitar player myself, I have a severe distaste for the use of computer generated guitars, also the vocals get off key in several parts. but nevertheless, you have a kickass voice, great lyrics and inspirational song writing. keep at it broh \m/

Mau3000 responds:

I hate using them too, but my recording set today sucks. I'm getting money to get better equipment soon (I doo hope so).
I'm not a singer, I just try, good thing you like my voice (I hate it hahaha)

Thank you for reviewing!
I'll keep practicing.

thank you!!

I'm so glad you're still posting stuff, you still remain my favorite artist on NG, and you're stuff is only getting better. I love this, it still has reminiscence of your older deathgrind style with an increase in production and technical skills. i hope to hear newer stuff soon. BTW do you have a version of the Rotten Hat Trick uploaded on here?

good, good!

did you consider the Grunge category? that's the closest I can think of to "alternative stoner", but yeh, it does fit well into the heavy metal category also, as the guitars and bass are reminiscent of bands like Sleep, or Electric Wizard, though the vocals give it the alternative feel. that was a fun listen, I'll definitely keep an ear out for more stuff
